ServSafe Information

Why ServSafe®?


     Our motto at SafeFoodMS is Learn, Improve and Enforce.  We will provide you with the tools to do just that!  My job is to help you and your employees succeed.  With 23 years experience in the teaching industry in food related education, safety and sanitation is a topic that comes easily.  A variety of teaching techniques are used in the original ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification classes taught by SafeFoodMS to help you achieve certification which will be valid for five (5) years. 

    According to the Mississippi/Louisiana Department of Health, at least one (1) full time manager must be ServSafe certified and all should "demonstrate knowledge" in sanitation and safety.
  Many
facilities will need certification per work shift due to having a "person in charge" available  all hours of operation.  


How do I sign up ?
     Join SafeFoodMS classes by selecting a date on the Registration link to participate in ServSafe training.  All classes are one (1) day classes which begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.  You will need to arrive by 7:45 AM for check-in.  You will need your ServSafe Essentials book, #2 pencil, registration form, a picture id and an eagerness to learn.
    

    The location for the ServSafe classes taught by SafeFoodMS is at the Innovation Center, 1636 Popps Ferry Road in Biloxi, MS.
    
Contact information is a through various avenues.  You can register through this website www.safefoodms.com, email linda@safefoodms.com , and call 228-326-9161.  Payment must be received before books will be mailed and registration to be official.    If you register and need a book one week before
class, you will be responsible for postage or make arrangements for book pick-up.  This must be certified check, money order or through
PayPal with your credit card, which is easy for you to do through the website.
   
    Remember, the keys to proper safety and sanitation training is through ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification taught by
SafeFoodMS in which you will Learn, Enforce and Improve to ensure that our food source stays safe!
